Will the Internet Poker Sites Continue in New Jersey Due to the New Proposed Legislation?

Most people have been wondering if the existing poker sites in New Jersey will continue to operate despite the new legislation in New Jersey. Recently, a bill was proposed in the New Jersey that would offer legalized interstate Internet Poker and sports betting through Atlantic City casinos.

Joe Brenna Jr. is the Chairman of the Interactive Media Entertainment and Gaming Association. He claims that his clients from the trade association are in favour of the new bill in New Jersey. There is nothing in the bill that will prevent in the residents of New Jersey from continuing their game at different poker sites like Full Tilt and PokerStars.

The $100,000 fine would not apply to existing offshore sites for New Jersey has no jurisdiction for offering Internet wagering without the approval of the New Jersey Gaming Control Commission outlined in the legislation.

Brennan recommends a partner for the New Jersey with existing operators that have the expertise and software to run a successful poker site so that casinos only need to add their brand and can start immediately with minimum over head. Today, New Jersey already held a hearing on the sports betting bill about the State Government, Wagering, Tourism and Historic Preservation committee.

New Mover in the IPoker Network is Revealed

King Solomon is the small online poker room with accounts from the old Boss Media Network has now moved to International Poker Network. The move is now almost complete and can no longer have any access to the Boss Media-powered tables.

Online Poker in California is coming Next Month

The Morongo Band of Mission Indians formed a group called the California Tribal Intrastate Internet Poker Consortium. It is one of the largest casino gaming tribes. According to recent reports lately, the California Indian tribes will be pushed next month.

The deal from the Commerce Casino together with the Bicycle club is being worked out by the Morongo to pursue the online poker in California. Invitations have been distributed and speakers for February 9 are all ready to support the hearing. However, the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIEGA) prohibits the use of credit cards and all fund transfer for the illegal online gambling except for the intrastate internet gambling.
