Game of Skill a Classification Poker Wish to Gain

A support was given to the bill that would give poker a classification as a game of skill. It was given by a representative of Poker Players Alliance in front of the Massachusetts State Legislator committee.

There are a couple of district courts across the country that made the same ruling however there is no declaration from the state legislature. The declaration of poker as a skill game will give the people the opportunity to enjoy the game of poker live or online at the comfort of their own homes. Therefore, the PPA believed that the argument about the skill is an essential battleground.

The hearing in Massachusetts went well. The Massachusetts state director Randy Castonguay and litigation support director Patrick Fleming received no opposition when they presented their arguments. Another person who spoke in favour of the bill was the executive director of the Global Poker Strategic Thinking Society, Andrew Woods.

The session took seven hours that made most of the representative leave the place. With the incident, the legislation seems unlikely to pass. The PPA is hopeful that the bill will be attached to a bigger bill in order to be recognized. Poker will definitely be a game of skill if the bill will pass.
